I have had the itch to do a collage since early summer, but didn't feel like I had the time to slow down and focus on it until recently. I had been saving up a lot of clippings that I was really looking forward to using, and I was able to incorporate all of them here.
Finding the last few small pieces to fill holes was a bit of a challenge, but since I always have a few new magazines on hand, in the end I was able to pull together enough clippings for my needs.
As I was working on this collage, I was worried that it wouldn't be colorful enough, but again the last layer of clippings helped in that area.
I took a slightly different approach to this collage, using lots of medium and small clippings and very few full-page pieces. This choice of materials meant the process was even more like putting together a puzzle than it usually is.
Finally, it is rather fitting that I used a square base for this collage since Instagram has been rather big for me this year.
