NYC has so many great little shops all over the place, I'm sure I'll constantly be discovering new things, but here are some of my favorite haunts and destinations so far:
Pacific Green -- a great gourmet grocery store with a great selection of cheeses and fresh fruit. And they are open until 11pm every night.
Cobble Hill Cinema -- excellent independent cinema with 5 screens, that shows a good mix of mainstream and indie films at the near bargain price of $9.50 for evenings and weekends.
Gordon Ramsay at The London -- Best. Meal. Ever.
Eleven Madison Park -- Second favorite restaurant in the city.
Mexicali -- Good Mexican, though they don't have carne sauce for cheese enchiladas, so you have to get them with no sauce and order a side of chili.
Sam Flax -- Great selection of art supplies and other extraneous stuff, and they carry Exaclair, my favorite brand of notebooks/journals.
Rapisarda -- Funky boutique with way fun bags, accessories, and jewelry.
Puma Black Store -- Stylish awesomeness with friendly, helpful, attentive staff.
Heights Books -- Fabulous used bookstore.
Union Hall -- Downstairs: my go-to concert venue. Upstairs: bocce, a bartender who could be the next Jake Shears, and food.
